In a land of lost wonders, the past is stirring once more.

In a three-book deal, Aranya Jain at DAW Books has acquired the Micah Grey trilogy by L.R. Lam, author of DRAGONFALL and the forthcoming EMBERCLAW, for publication in 2025.

This gaslamp, neo-Victoriana fantasy trilogy is about an intersex debutante, who escapes to the circus after gaining unwanted magical abilities from a long-forgotten technological age. Each novel is rich, atmospheric, and entirely charming.

Previously only published in the UK and before L.R. Lam’s wild success with DRAGONFALL, these will be the first US editions, complete with an updated package. Hodderscape will publish these new editions in the UK. 

Of the acquisition, L. R. The first book, PANTOMIME will be out next Fall (Sept 2025) with SHADOWPLAY and MASQUERADE to follow in the same season so readers can get lost in the magic of Micah’s tale while only having to wait a month between books.
