DAW has acquired fantasy writer Lynn Buchanan’s BREEZE FELT AT MOONRISE, the first in a lush, epic fantasy series that follows a young woman growing mineral armor from her body, who must leave home on a quest to prove herself to her people. Led by a mysterious linguist and pursued by a steely-eyed warrior with a traumatic history, this is a story about reconciling the role of power unwillingly forced upon its bearer.

“Lynn has a beautiful, lush writing style, and three-dimensional, fascinating characters. Her world is multifaceted, political, war-riddled, and filled with mysteries about the secret history of Breeze’s nearly extinct people and also the motivations of the mysterious Roque, her enigmatic, immortal protector.
