Navah Wolfe to Join DAW Books at Astra Publishing House

DAW Books, an imprint of Astra Publishing House, is pleased to welcome Navah Wolfe to the team as Executive Editor.

Navah Wofle

Navah Wolfe is a two-time Hugo Award-winning editor with over 15 years of experience in the publishing industry, most recently at Subterranean Press and Saga Press, working with the likes of Amal El-Mohtar, Max Gladstone, Catherynne M. Valente, Ursula Vernon, Rivers Solomon, Daveed Diggs, Elizabeth Bear, Theodora Goss, Alexandra Rowland, Jonathan Maberry, Mishell Baker, Matt Wallace, and more

On joining the team, Navah said, “I’ve been reading and loving DAW books for as long as I can remember. DAW has published some of my all-time favorite writers, old and new—so it’s an honor and a privilege to join the DAW team. I’m excited to publish more wonderful writers and books on DAW’s list!”

Navah’s books have won the Hugo Award, Nebula Award, Lambda Literary Award, BSFA Award, Locus Award, Shirley Jackson Award, Aurora Award, IGNYTE Award and RUSA Award, and been finalists for many other major industry awards, including the World Fantasy, Bram Stoker, British Fantasy, and Mythopoeic Awards. She is also the co-editor of three award-winning anthologies.

As Executive Editor, Navah will be on the lookout for fantastic science fiction, fantasy and horror that plays with, undermines, and surpasses tropes, characters (both heroes and antiheroes) who she’ll fall in love with and want to follow to the ends of the earth, found family and friendship stories, and is always looking for stories and narratives from marginalized voices.

Welcome, Navah!
